Pneumatic solenoid valves are used to direct or stop the flow of compressed air to the equipment. They can be used for example to drive cylinders, larger industrial valves or pneumatic tools. Directional control valves are usually classified by two numbers, the first number indicating the number of ports and the second number indicating the number of states. The most common types are 3/2, 5/2, and 5/3. Valves can be single-acting or double-acting (one or two solenoid valves). Different operating voltages can be obtained by replacing the electromagnetic coils. Several models are available for manifold installation, please note the platform dimensions when selecting valves and manifes. Optionally, the valve body has the Namur configuration to install the valve directly onto the actuator.
