G1 1/4'' Solenoid Valve 2 Position 2 Way Operated With Stainless Steel NC Pneumatic 2S350-35
This valve is a two-way, normally closed, direct-lift valve and does not require a minimum differential pressure to operate. As shown in the diagrams below, when the coil is de-energized, the plunger and flexible diaphragm sit on the main valve orifice. The working medium flows through a tiny "bleed orifice" and pressurizes the cavity above the diaphragm - this system pressure, along with the spring force, seals the valve. When the valve is energized, the diaphragm is pulled away from the main orifice, allowing fluid to flow through the valve. Since the bleed orifice is dimensionally smaller than the main orifice, the system pressure cannot rebuilt on the top of the diaphragm as long as the main orifice remains open.

How Does 2S350-35 Solenoid Valve Work?
It's 2/2 Way Direct Drive Normally Closed Solenoid Valve.When the solenoid is energized, the pilot orifice is opened, which causes the pressure above the membrane to drop. Because of the pressure difference on both sides of the membrane, the membrane will be lifted and the medium can flow from inlet port to outlet port.
Solenoid valve types
Solenoid valves can be categorized into different groups of operation.
Direct acting valve:
In a normally closed direct acting solenoid valve, the path to the outlet port is blocked when no current is applied to the coil as the closing spring presses the plunger onto the valve seat. Current through the coil generates a starting force, which pulls the plunger and the seal against the spring force, and draws the medium upward. As such, the channel is opened for the medium to flow through the direct acting valve.

Pilot operated valve:
A separate actuator on the piping releases pressure in the line if it crosses a threshold. This releases the pressure on the back of the seal, causing the valve to open. The essential parts of a PORV are a pilot valve(or control pilot), a main valve, a pilot tube, the dome, a disc or piston, and a seat.
Benefits of Pilot solenoid valves
Excellent for very large flow.
Pressure assists valve operation.
Needs minimum pressure differential.
More economical for higher flow values
Lower electrical power level.
